Seasoned Energy Engineer

As an Energy Engineer at ABS you will design, develop, and audit energy-related projects to find efficient and innovative ways to supply energy. This involves looking at ways to reduce costs, researching ways to generate new energy to reduce carbon emissions and minimize environmental damage, and carrying out site inspections and energy surveys. You should have a deep understanding of energy systems and be able to develop creative solutions that improve energy efficiency while also meeting the customer’s needs.

About This Postion

Responsibilities

  • Analyze energy usage and identify opportunities for improvement. 

  • Develop energy-efficient designs and systems for buildings, equipment, and processes. 

  • Conduct energy audits to identify areas of inefficiency and make recommendations for improvement. 

  • Manage energy conservation projects, including developing project plans, timelines, and budgets. 

  • Work closely with all project stakeholders to ensure energy projects meet their needs and requirements. 

  • Research and evaluate emerging energy technologies and provide recommendations for their adoption. 

  • Monitor and report on energy usage and cost savings. 

  • Provide training and education on energy conservation to employees and other stakeholders. 

Minimum
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred 

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in energy engineering or a related field 

  • Strong understanding of energy systems and energy efficiency principles 

  • Experience conducting energy audits and implementing energy conservation projects. 

  • Developing project schedules, budgets, and plans 

  • Good communication abilities, with the capacity to explain difficult technical information to stakeholders that are not technically minded 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems 

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards 

  • Proficiency in energy modeling software and other relevant tools

$115k to $130k. Based on experience

Journeyman Electrician

 In the journeyman role, you will perform electrical work and inspection on wiring, fixtures, outlets, and other electrical components. You will replace and repair electrical equipment and devices as required. You must maintain a deep understanding of building code regulations to check and ensure compliance with the highest standards of building design and construction. Success in this role will be demonstrated by employing effective process controls to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficient installation and maintenance of electrical systems. 

We are looking for a Rockstar, who knows how to create strong, engaged and accountable teams in the people that they lead. You will work on construction job sites as assigned, moving from one job site to another. This could be from a public sector work site to a private sector worksite with changing priorities, regulations, and requirements. 

About This Postion

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in both public and private sector settings 

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical wiring 

  • Install electrical components such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers 

  • Test electrical systems using specialized tools to ensure proper functioning 

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements 

  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as plumbers and carpenters, to complete projects 

  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with high-voltage systems 

  • Train and develop team members to ensure understanding and clarity of safe work practices while working within the electrical realm on all construction job sites.

  • J-card 

  • Completed electrician apprenticeship 

  • Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes 

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record 

  • Ability to travel for work 

  • Ability to read blueprints 

  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug test 

  • Valid state license 

  • Must have a strong understanding of safety protocols and PPE equipment for self and helpers. 

  • Must follow established B&I safety guidelines when working on any and all construction sites. 

  • Must possess lead capacity to train team members on safe work practices. 

  • Will wear protective equipment when entering areas requiring same (Hard Hats, Work Boots, etc.). Undergo DPAS training necessary for travel to worksites (if applicable). 

  • Will train on OSHA 10, 30 as appropriate.
